How to save changes in a dbx file?

Q. I have found that, if I open a dbx file in Mailnavigator, and read and delete some unnecessary messages, the next time I open the same dbx file it seems the changes have not been saved. What am I doing wrong?

If the problem is that you are not able to save changes to an external mailbox, it is understandable. Original dbx files and external mailboxes in MailNavigator can be opened only in Read only mode. See help topic:

Tips and Tricks | External Message File

When you have loaded a dbx file for review you can read the messages, print them, search the messages, and export selected messages in text format. But, if you want to be able to save the changes resulting from deleting or editing the messages, you should previously save them in a MailNavigator mailbox.
